1. Who We Are
SC Contract Exchange is a sealed-bid contract marketplace for Star Citizen organizations, operated by the Order 66 community. The platform is not affiliated with Cloud Imperium Games or Roberts Space Industries.
2. What Data We Collect
When you sign in via Discord OAuth, we receive and store your Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL. If you verify an organization, we also store your RSI (Roberts Space Industries) handle. Platform activity — including organization memberships, RFP postings, bids, reviews, and conduct reports — is stored as part of normal platform operation.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to operate the platform: to identify you, display your profile, associate you with your organization, and enforce platform rules. We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Discord OAuth
Authentication is handled through Discord's OAuth2 service. When you log in, you are redirected to Discord's servers where you authorize access to your basic profile information. Discord's own Privacy Policy governs the data Discord collects during this process. We only receive the information Discord sends us after you approve the authorization.
5. Cookies & Sessions
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in between visits. This cookie contains only a session identifier — no personal data is stored in the cookie itself. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account and organization are active on the platform. If you wish to have your data removed, contact us via the support Discord and we will delete your account and associated records.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, reach out through the SC Contract Exchange support Discord. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement standard security headers and access controls to protect your information. Platform credentials (Discord OAuth secrets, database credentials) are stored as encrypted environment variables and are never exposed publicly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
